Mayo Lawrence
Mayo Lawrence, 61, of Route 4, West Queen Street, Edenton, died August 19 at Chowan Hospital.
A native of Windsor, he was the son of the late James Lawrence and Betty Farless Lawrence, and the husband of Joyce Bass Lawrence.
He was employed by Edenton Auto Parts and was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: two daughters, Karen Tynch of Edenton and Brenda Jane Lawrence of Springfield, Va.; a son, James Lawrence of Greenville; two sisters, Belle Willis of Ocracoke and Marguerite Speller of Kentucky.
A funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, August 21, in the Williford-Barham Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Young officiating. Burial followed in the Waff family cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gene Bowen, Larry Bowe, Lloyd Parrish, Charles Britton, Richard Elliott, and Lary Hardison.
Williford-Barham Funeral Home of Edenton was in charge of arrangements.
