Catherine Price Bass (Picture included)
Louisville - Catherine Price "Cappy" Bass, 94, died on September 11, 2018.
She was predeceased by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. John W. Price, Jr.; her husband of 66 years, Robert Bruce Bass; her sister, Mrs. William M. Reid, Jr.; and a brother, Helm Bruce Price.
She is survived by her four children: Dr. R. Bruce Bass, Jr. (Patti) of Spartanburg, SC; Dr. Barbara F. Bass (Barbara Levin) of Baltimore, MD; Caroline B. Coleman (James) of Philadelphia, PA; and Dr. Catherine Kelly Bass of Maui, HI; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, September 16, 2018 at St. Francis in the Fields Episcopal Church, 6710 Wolf Pen Branch Road (at Hwy 42) with private burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Price Institute for Surgical Research, Department of Surgery, University of Louisville, Louisville, KY 40292.
