Last Rites Today For Willie Bass
Last rites for Willie Lee Bass,65, of 1107 Crawford Ave., will be held at 2:30 o?clock this afternoon at the Furnance Hill Congregational Methodist Church.
The Revs. Grady Bishop and Mrs. Boone will officiate and burial will be in the Wayside Cemetery, Usrey directing.
Mr. Bass died Friday afternoon at his home after an illness of two months.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Wood, Anniston, and Mrs. Bertha Polson, Indianapolis, Inid.; one nephew, James Wood, Anniston, and three nieces, Mrs. W.B. Songer and Miss Martha Ann Wood, Anniston, and Mrs. George Walker, Pensacola, Fla.
Mr. Bass had resided in Anniston most of his life.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Jenkins, J.W. Powell, Oneal le, Lester Carroll, H.B. McMichael and Bill Sparks.
Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Peak, Curtis Woods, C.D. Messer, Emmett Freeman, James Blair, Jack Key, William Songer, Joe Carroll., Jess Carroll and George Walker.
