Wilbert J. Bass
LADY LAKE, Fla. -- Wilbert Jack Bass, 70, of 2846 Hartsock Saw Mill Road, formerly of Clinton, N.C., died Friday in Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Leesburg.
Mr. Bass was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Fruitland. He was a retired building contractor and brick mason.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Clinton Cemetery by the Rev. Jimmie Swinson.
Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Mary P. Bass; a daughter, Jacqueline Bass of Orlando; four sons, Evan Bass of Lady Lake and Jackie W. Bass, Randy L. Bass and William T. Bass, all of Clinton; a stepdaughter, Phyllis Wing of Durham, N.C.; a stepson, Jeffrey Westbrook of Lady Lake; three sisters, Nellie B. Denton, Jean B. Martin and Edna B. Simmons, all of Clinton; two brothers, Glenwood C. Bass and Jimmy Bass, both of Clinton; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Royal-Hall Funeral Home in Clinton.

Wilbert Bass, 70
Wilbert Bass, 70, of Lady Lake died Friday, June 14, 2002. Born in Clinton, N.C., he moved to Lady Lake from Clermont in 1979. He was a construction supervisor and a member of Faith Baptist Church. Survivors include his sons, Jackie Wayne Bass, Tony Bass, and Randy Bass, all of Clinton, N.C.; stepson, Jeffery Westbrook of Lady Lake; daughter, Jacqueline Bass of Orlando; stepdaughter, Phyllis Wing of Durham, N.C.; brothers, Glenwood Bass and Jimmy Bass, both of Clinton, N.C.; sisters, Nellie Denning, Jean Martin, and Edna Simmons, all of Clinton, N.C.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Beyers Funeral Home, Lady Lake.
