Frederic J. Bessette - Woonsocket
FREDERIC J. BESSETTE, 91, formerly of Heather Drive, a retired store ownerand textile worker, died yesterday at Landmark Medical Center.He was the husband of the late Aurore (Bourre) Bessette. Born in Manchaug,Mass., on Feb. 13, 1912, a son of the late Felix and Marie Louise (Renaud)Bessette, he had lived in Woonsocket most of his life.Mr. Bessette was the owner of the former Bessette's Food Mart, on SocialStreet, retiring in 1977. He also worked in area textile mills.He was a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.He leaves a son, Marcel Bessette of North Providence; a daughter, ClaudetteTheodoroff of Lincoln; a brother, Ralph Bessette of North Smithfield; andfive grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was the brother of thelate Salmone LeClerc, Marie Anne Kay, and Leah, Marie Louise, Rose Anne,Joseph, Romeo, Arthur, Leo, Albert and Wilbrod Bessette.The funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from T. Lauzon Funeral Home,85 Rathbun St., with a funeral service at 10:30 in St. Joseph Church, MendonRoad. Burial will be in Precious Blood Cemetery.
