- E.D. Bass Dies At Home Today
Former Drumright Man Dies At Home Here
Rites To Be Announced Later
Everett Cardon Bass, age 66 years, died at his home at 514 East Moses street at 5:30 a.m. this morning following a long illness. Funeral services will be announced at a later date pending word from relatives.
Bass moved to Cushing from Drumright last August when he purchased a home here. He was born July 14, 1879 near Barnesville, North Carolina, and moved to Drumright twenty-five years ago. He was employed with the Gulf Oil and Refining Company for twenty-two years. He was a member of the Drumright Masonic Lodge and the Consistory at Guthrie. He was also a member of the First Christian Church here.
The body will lie in state at the Davis Funeral home until the time of the service. Burial will be made in the Fairlawn cemetery.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs. Ruth Bass of the home, one daughter, Mrs. H.P. Campbell, Jr., of Beeville, Texas, three sisters, Mrs. J.W. Booker and Mrs. M.A. Rush of Norfolk, Virginia and Mrs. W.P. Bostick of Charlotte, North Carolina and other relatives.
