Edgar Wyche Bass
LUMBERTON, Feb. 21. ? Funeral services for Edgar Wyche Bass, 63, Lumberton farmer, were conducted from his home on North Walnut street today at 4 p.m., with interment in Meadowbrook cemetery. The services were in charge of Rev. T.G. Vickers, pastor of Chestnut Street Methodist church, of which the deceased was a member, assisted by Dr. C. H. Durham, pastor of the First Baptist church. Mr. Bass died Sunday of a heart attack. He was born and reared in the Barnesville section, son of Everett and Mary Walters Bass. He was married on October 31, 1910, to Miss Cora B. Howell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Howell of the Back Swamp section. She survives with two children, Mrs. J.E. Newbern of Jarvisburg and Edgar Frank Bass of Lumberton; a grandchild, Dora Virginia Newbern of Jarvisburg; two brothers, E.C., of Drumwright, Okla., and A.S. of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three sisters, Mrs. W.P. Bostick of Charlotte, Mrs. J.W. Booker and Mrs. W.S. Rush of Norfolk, Va.
