Robert C. Bass
Funeral for Robert C. Bass, 94, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2009, at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Sevar officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Mr. Bass died Feb. 25, 2009, at Westward Trails Nursing Home. Born May 16, 1914, in Nacogdoches, he was the son of David and Ruth Bass. Visitation will be from 1 until 4 p.m. Sunday, March 1. Robert Bass
A funeral service for Robert Clifford Bass, 94, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2009, at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Sevar officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Mr. Bass passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at Westward Trails Nursing Home. He was born May 16, 1914, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to David and Ruth Bass. Mr. Bass was a World War II Army veteran. He was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin and retired from Gulf Oil Corporation. He was a deacon of Calvary Baptist Church and a member of Nacogdoches Masonic Lodge No. 2. His happy and loving home for the last years of his life was The Arbor. Survivors include daughter, Deborah Lee Bass of Houston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Clifford Bass Jr. and wife, Cindy, of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Jonathan Bass of Providence, Rhode Island, and Graham Bass of Austin, Texas; three brothers, Cecil Bass, Howard Bass and Bryant Bass and their families; special cousin, Evelyn King; and many, many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fronie Mae Bass. Pallbearers will be nephews, Lee Bass, Randy Bass, Bill Oliver, Jeffrey Todd, Kevin Bowdoin and Doug Martin. Visitation will be from 1 until 4 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2009, at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made to Joyful Sound Choir, c/o Calvary Baptist Church; 3732 N.E.
