Funeral services for Charles Bass, who died Sunday in Detroit, where he was employed, were held here Tuesday from the residence, conducted by the Rev. W.E. Wauford. Interment took place Wednesday at Poplar Hill cemetery. He was 23 years old and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. P.C. Bass of this place. The young man is survived by his parents, four sisters, Mrs. Mary Beckwith of Nashville and Misses Louise, Christine and Pauline Bass of Watertown, and by four brothers, Cecil Bass of Shop Springs, Hatton Bass of this place, and Bedford and A.C. Bass, both in France with the American forces.
