The elder Bass, who lived at 917 Chancery Lane, died Sunday in Vanderbilt Hospital after suffering a heart attack. Services for the internationally known retired civil engineer will be at 2 p.m. today at Martin?s & Bracey-Welsh Funeral Home, 209 Louise Ave. Robert Neil will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
