Mr. Bass was a life-long resident of Birmingham and was employed at U.S. Steel?s Fairfield Works for 35 years before his retirement. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Irene N. Bass; two sons, Charles D. Bass and Mark W. Bass of Birmingham; three daughters, Mrs. Jewel Stevenson of Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Richard B. Voodre of Birmingham and Mrs. W. Jack Cleere of Hattiesburg, Miss.; a sister, Mrs. Will Bullington of Donaldson, Tenn. and five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Birmingham Post-Herald, Alabama, Saturday, 12 March 1966 Rellie D.
