Larry A. Bass
Larry A. Bass, 74, of Arno Road in College Grove died on Sunday, Dec. 31 at a Nashville hospital. His illness had been short.
Mr. Bass was a native of Humphrey County, He was a groceryman all his life and a long time member of the Scottish and York Rites Masons groups. he was also a member of the East End Methodist Church in Nashville.
Mr. Bass is survived by wife, Mrs. Ruth Moore Bass; three sons, Larry Bass, Jr. of Dallas, Texas, Randall Bass of Franklin and William A. Bass of Kokomo, Indiana; two daughters, Miss Frances Bass of Nashville and Mrs. H. Elliott (Juanita) Wright of Bronx,, New York; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Wright of Mt. Juliet; two brothers, Fran M. Bass of Nashville and the Rev. Soloman Al Bass of Waverly, Ohio; and four grandchildren.
Masonic services were conducted on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Roesch-Patton Dorris Charlton Chapel in Nashville. Regular services were conducted at Lawrence Funeral Home in Chapel Hill on Tuesday, Jan. 2, with the Rev. James Reed Cox, Father Owen Camtion and the Rev. Ted Malout.
All Masonic members served as honorary pallbearers.
Nephews acted as active pallbearers.
Interment took place in the Triune Cemetery.
