Funeral services for Elvis 'Fuzz" Ray Bass, Sr., 67, of Kelly, LA were held at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 28, 2009 at Woolen Lake Church of God in Hebert, LA with Rev. Floyd Ducheshne and Bro. James Bass officiating. Interment followed in Woolen Lake Cemetery in Hebert, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA.
Elvis Ray Bass, Sr. was born June 16, 1942 in Goodwill, LA and passed away on August 26, 2009 at his home in Kelly, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ches and Marvell Bass; son, Elvis Ray Bass, Jr.; and granddaughter, Annie Bass.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Carol Bass of Kelly, LA; two daughters, Mary Ann Bass of Columbia, LA and Jennifer Lee Bass of Grayson, LA; two sons, James Bass of Columbia, LA and Richard Bass of Columbia, LA; ten grandchildren, Devin and Kathrine Bass, Tyler and Brooklyn Bass, Jayden Jenkins, Kendel Myers, Clayton Spires, Mason Spires, Logan Spires, and Jessica Bass; two sisters, Nelwyn Elliott of Oak Grove, LA and Sybil Womack and husband, Carroll of Oak Grove, LA; five brothers, Donald Bass and wife, Barbara of Oak Grove, LA, Joe "Dub" Bass and wife, Betty of Hebert, LA, Roy Bass and wife, Peggy of Oak Grove, LA, Roger Bass and wife, Dorthy of Oak Grove, LA, and Chester Wayne Bass and wife, Kathy of Oak Grove; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Todd Bass, Marty Bass, Skyler Bass, Chris Womack, Andy Womack, and Jamie Womack.
Honorary pallbearers were Joe Bass, Jr. and Dickey Mayhall.
