Clifford Bass
Services for Clifford Dean Bass, 49, of 2018 W. Wiswall who shot himself at his home about 9 p.m. Saturday and was pronounced dead about 9:30 at St. Francis Hospital, will be at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at Davison-Fulton Peoria Chapel, the Rev. Ronald Callahan officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Pekin.
He had owned the Duke?s 20-05 Club and later was a truck driver for Tobler Transfer. he was a member of the National Rifleman?s Association and Teamsters and Chauffeurs Union, Local 627.
Born Aug. 9, 1929, in Peoria to Clarence and Bessie Saylor Bass, he married Jean Yerby in 1960 at Oak Park.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Michael, Peking; a daughter, Mrs. LeRoy (Kathy) Houston, Pekin; a stepdaughter, Anne Hoff, Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers, Leo Bass, Creve Coeur, and Lester Lightbody, Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Willis (Faye) Lacey, Bath; seven grandchildren.
His parents, a son and a sister preceded him in death.
Memorial may be made to the Peoria-Tazewell County Heart Association.
