  Notes	The Oak Ridger, Tennessee, Friday, 22 November 2002 Warren Bass Sr. Warren Bass Sr., 79, of Oliver Springs, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, at his home. Born April 26, 1923, in Anderson County, he was the son of John Marvin Bass and Elsie Chloe Bailey Bass, both now deceased. A lifelong resident of Oliver Springs, he was a charter member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church and was a 32nd degree Master Mason and member of Omega Masonic Lodge, No. 536, F&AM. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Bass worked as a builder and was employed as an expediter at Union Carbide Nuclear Division for 15 years before his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruby Katherine Wilson Bass; a daughter, Deborah Diane Johnson and her husband, Marlon, of Louisville; and five sons, Marvin Thomas Bass, Warren Bass Jr. and his wife, Wilma, Markus Rodney Bass and his wife, Belinda, and Antonio Stacy Wade Bass I and his wife, Rebecca, all of Oliver Springs, and Jackson Garner Bass and his wife, Nam, of Seoul, South Korea. He is also survived by his brother, the Rev. William Harvey "Bill" Bass and his wife, Lois, of Oliver Springs; five sisters-in-law, Ozie Bass and Mona Bass, both of Oliver Springs, Ethel Reynolds and her husband, Floyd, of Pennsylvania, Elizabeth Diggs and her husband, Alvin, of Marlow, and Violet Smith and her husband, George, of Chattanooga; a brother-in-law, Bradford Wilson and his wife, Ella, of Ohio; and by 13 grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ervin Bass, George Bass and Rev. E.H. "Hayes" Bass and a grandson, Johnny Marvin Bass. The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Marcus Bass and the Rev. Joseph Copeland officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, at R.W. Long Cemetery in Dutch Valley. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
