He was born in Wayne County, Ky., February 9, 1884 and had been a resident of Hardin County for the past four years. He was a railroad foremen. He was a member of the Fidelity Lodge No. 558 F. and A. M. of Chattanooga, Tennessee and of Scioto Chapter 115 of Royal Arch Masons of Kenton. He married Miss Pearl Frazer on October 27, 1920 in Chattanooga. He is survived by the wife and four sons by a previous marriage, Mark of High Point, N. C ; Thomas of Marion, Ohio; Floyd of Fayetteville, N. C. ; and Charles who is serving with the U. S. Army in the Pacific area. One niece, Mrs. Martha Patterson, of Cleveland, three brothers William of Texas, James of Kentucky, Thomas of Tennessee survive, with six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday from the late home by the Sherman funeral home at Ridgeway. Rev. A. E. Oliver of New Hampshire assisted by Rev. Ballinger of Ridgeway will officiate. Masonic service will be held at 2:30 Sunday. Burial is to be in Hale cemetery. Ridgeway Ohio, November 3, 1945 Charles R. Bass was born at Sunnybrook to Fredrick and Polly Ann (Catron) Bass, where he has a host of relatives and friends.
