Bass Jr., 48, a 15-year resident of Olympia, died of hepatits C Friday, May 26, 2000, at home. He was born Sept. 22, 1951, to Samuel and Sarah Bass in Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Bass married Twila Bass on April 16, 1988. He was the manager of Lyle?s Smokeshop. He was a musician, and he enjoyed boating, slow pitch, bowling, watching the Dallas Cowboys and spending time with his family. He was known to be an avid storyteller. Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Twila M. Bass; two sons, Samuel T. Bass III of University Place and Edward Bass of Issaquah; his brother, Jack Bass of Seattle; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Bass. Visition will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. at Forest Funeral Home, Olympia. Interment will be at Forest Memorial Gardens, Olympia. Arragenments are by Forest Funeral Home, Olympia.
