James Thomas Bass, 57, of Black Creek, Route 1, died suddenly from a heart attach early Friday morning at his home. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o?clock at Lower Black Creek Primitive Baptist Church, conducted by Elder W.E. Turner. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Wilson. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Florence Turner Bass; two sosn, Vernon of Wilaon, Route 2, and James T. Bass Jr., of Black Creek, Route 2; four sisters, Mrs. Martha Holland of Pikeville, Mrs. Florence Peele of Kenly, Mrs. Minnie Turner of Norfolk, Va., and Mrs. Dora Thompson of Lucama, Route 2, and three grandchildren. 1940 Federal Census of Black Creek, Wilson County, NC (24 Apr 1940) Jim T.
