The funeral will be announced by Goldfinch?s Conway Chapel. Mr. Bass was born in Fairmont, N.C., a son of John D. Bass and Viola Hayes Bass. He was a member of North Conway Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Marjorie Rhodes Bass; two daughters, Barbara Luther of Charleston and Paula Massey of Conway; a son, Larry Bass of Myrtle Beach; three sisters, Golda Brigman of Mullins, Donnie Walter of Orrum, N.C., and Ruth White of Chadburn, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
