He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carrie Hayes Bass; a daughter, Mrs. Paul Jackson of Charlotte; a son, Jack Bass of Newport News, Va.; his sisters, Mrs. Bessie Bass of Route 1 Orrum and Mrs. Lawrence Lee of Lumberton; his brothers, John D. of Route 1 Orrum, Murray of Fayetteville, Harvey of Clarendon and John D. Bass of Whiteville; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
