June Ernestine (Byrd) Bass, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Marion General Hospital in Marion, Ohio. June was born on September 30, 1939, in West Liberty, Kentucky.
June was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed caring for her family. She was a terrific cook and gardener, enjoyed music, dancing, and camping. Most of all, she enjoyed visiting with her family and friends and cultivating those warm, loving relationships.
She is preceded in death by her parents James Byrd and Nora (Fairchild) Byrd, a sister, Gayle (Byrd) Hughes, and a brother, Gary Byrd. She is survived by her husband, James ?Phil? Bass, and children, Michael (Kris) Bass, Philip Bass, and Elizabeth (Jerry) Foos of Marion, Ohio, and grandchildren Lindsay Bass and Danyelle Bass of Florida, and Kyle Foos and Chace (Samantha) Bass of Marion, Ohio.
Funeral Services for friends and family will be held Friday, August 9th at the Edwards Funeral Service-Hughes Allen Chapel, 318 Mt. Vernon Avenue, Marion, Ohio, with visitation beginning at 10 AM, Funeral Service at 11 AM, followed by burial at the Caledonia Cemetery, Caledonia, Ohio.
