  Notes	News and Observer, Raleigh, North Carolina, Wednesday, May 13, 1959 Mrs. Bessie Sulivan Bass PIKEVILLE ? Mrs. Bessie Sulivan Bass, 66, died at her home here Monday. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John C. Hales, Rt. 5, Goldsboro, and Mrs. J.W. Sykes of Pikeville; three sons, Chester and Office Bass of Pikeville, and Oscar Bass of Goldsboro; two stepdaughters, Mrs. A.L. Sheehan of Pikeville and Mrs. Waverly Pope of Fremont; one stepson, Ewdard Bass of Fremont; and 14 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Fremont Baptist Church Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. Mr. Renfrow, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Fremont Cemetery.
