Judy Davis Bass, 75 of Kenly passed away Friday. Her funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner's Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Kenly Cemetery, Kenly. Dr. Ross Renfrow will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 ? 8 p.m. at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of her son. Judy was a successful insurance agent with over forty years working for Nationwide Insurance prior to retiring. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends and family. Most of all, her passions were cooking and being with her grandchildren, whom she loved with all her being. Judy is survived by her son, Shane Bass and wife, Emily of Kenly; granddaughter, Jordan Bass; grandsons, Brandon Bass, Davis Bass, and Sawyer Bass, and her sisters, Ava Newsome and husband, Billy of Kenly, and Betty Rock and husband, Steve of Raleigh. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-three years, James Earl "J.E." Bass, and her mother, Dorothy Davis Creech.
