Joyce Ann Bass

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce Ann B. Bass (nee Schuler), who left this world on March 27, 2025, at the age of 89.
Beloved wife of the late Ralph Bass for 62 beautiful years, Joyce was a nurturing mother to her sons: George (Linda), Dennis (Jill), and Richard (Patricia). She will be fondly remembered as a cherished grandma to David (Jamie), Andrew (Sara Thies), and Katelyn (Ryan) Fitzler, and a devoted great-grandma to Dylan, Kellen, Camden, Annette "Annie," Kai, Emmett, and Amelia. Joyce also leaves behind a circle of dear friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Joyce was a vibrant spirit, an avid Cardinal fan whose life was rich with love, not only for her family but also for animals, especially her beloved granddogs. She enjoyed joyous moments bowling and found fulfillment in being an attentive homemaker. Her laughter, kindness, and warmth lit up the lives of those around her and will be deeply missed.
In remembrance of Joyce?s life and legacy, a public visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 9:30 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 AM, at Hutchens Mortuary & Cremation Center located at 675 Graham Rd., Florissant, MO 63031. Interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
As we gather to celebrate Joyce's remarkable journey, we invite all who knew and loved her to join us in honoring her life?an emblem of love, strength, and devotion. Let us come together to share stories, laughter, and tears,
understanding that though she is gone, her spirit continues to live on in each of us.
