- The records of the children are from a family Bible, a copy of which can be found at the State Archives in Richmond, Virginia. The Bible was in possession of Mrs. Donald Kilgore of Dallas, Texas, when filmed by the State Archives in Richmond. She was a granddaughter of Benjamin Harris and Mary B. Bassett.
Lila Graham Bassett willed her estate equally one-quarter to each of her four sisters - Eleanor Hunter Bassett Muse, Lucy Bassett May, Hope Bassett McCalla, and Mary Burnett Bassett Watson.

Lilla G. Bassett, Dallas Teacher, Dies
Lilla Graham Bassett, for many years an outstanding kindergarten teacher in the Dallas schools, died Sunday at a local hospital.
She was the youngest child of Major B.H. Bassett and Mrs. Mary Burnett Bassett. Major Bassett was a prominent attorney of Brenham and later a member of the firm of Bassett, Seay & Muse of Dallas and a member of the board of codifiers.
Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. E.B. Muse and Mrs. Howard P. May of Dallas, Mrs. R.I. McCalla of New York and Mrs. John Watson of Cameron, and one brother, L.W. Bassett of Dallas.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 4 p.m. at the residence of Mrs. May, 1835 Park Row. The body will be taken to Brenham for burial. Miss Bassett was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
