Nelson, Bass Troth Announced
Mrs. Howard N. Downing of Lincoln, Neb., announced the engagement of her granddaughter, Virginia Louise Nelson, to 2nd Lt. George D. Bass Jr., son of Mrs. J.C. Gillespie and the late George Dewey Bass.
Miss Nelson is the daughter of Mrs. Virginia Plum of Lincoln and of Paul F. Nelson of Baton Rouge, La. She attended the University of Nebraska, where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi, and is employed by the University of Nebraska in Ankara, Turkey.
Lt. Bass attended Georgia Tech, where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta. He is stationed with the U.S Air Force in Ankara.
The wedding will take place Aug. 11 at the Jammat Chapel, Ankara.
