George Dewey Bass Dies Suddenly
George Dewey Bass, 36, of 1479 Mozley Place, S.W., died suddenly of a heart attack at his home Friday night.
A native of Headland, Ala., he had resided in Atlanta for the past twenty years. He was connected with the Southern Bell Telephone Company for eighteen years, was directory advertising salesman at the time of his death.
Known also as a talented musician, Mr. Bass directed his own orchestra for a time and had played string instruments in various Atlanta bands.
Surviving are his wife and son, George Dewey Bass, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Spring Hill, with the Rev. Harold Shields officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
