Mrs. Imogene Bass
Funeral services for Mrs. Imogene Taylor Bass, 33, resident of Sour lake for the past ten years, who died Wednesday afternoon in Baptist Hospital, Beaumont, after a long illness, were held Thursday afternoon at 4 o?clock , in the First Baptist Church, with the pastor, Rev. Glenn A. Dromgooke, officiating.
Burial was in Rosedale cemetery here under the direction of Roberts funeral home. Six brothers-in-law served as pallbearers.
Surviving are her husband, W.L. Bass of Sour lake; four sons, Martin Alex Varnell and Donald Eugene Varnell, both of Houston, and Jimmy Taylor Bass and barney Lee Bass, both of Sour lake; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Barney Taylor, Sr., of Hull; one brother, Barney Taylor, Jr., of Houston; six sisters, Mrs. R.L. Chipman of Lufkin, Mrs. Burt Collins of Victoria, Mrs. Jess Howard of Madisonville, Mrs. Ray Van Dorn of Beaumont, Mrs. Charles Proctor of Houston and Mrs. Gerald Greak of Liberty.
