Peggy Jo Botts Bass GIBSONVILLE, NC - Mrs. Peggy Jo Botts Bass, 75, of Gibsonville, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro. A native of McAdenville, NC, Mrs. Bass was the wife of James Kindred Bass and the daughter of the late Roy Manley Botts and the late Darnella Jenkins Botts. Mrs. Bass was a member of the First Baptist Church of Burlington. Mrs. Bass is survived by her husband, James K. Bass, of the home, her children, Connie and her husband, Gary King, Kim, Jonathan, Amanda and her husband, John Haith and Melinda; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, sister, Sandra Botts Nichols; brothers, Danny Botts, Roy Botts, Scott Botts and Stanley Botts and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday, August 16, 2021 from 11:30 to 1:00 PM in the Gathering Place of the First Baptist Church of Burlington. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 in the church sanctuary. Officiating will be the Rev. Marshall Blaylock. A private family entombment will take place after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund of the First Baptist Church of Burlington, 400 S. Broad St., Burlington, NC 27215.
