Mildred Ruffin Bass

APEX ? Mildred Ruffin Bass, 88, passed away Friday. Her funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner's Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson. The Rev. Robert Bergland will officiate.
The family will receive friends 6 ? 8 p.m. Tuesday at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Mildred loved to work in her yard and grow beautiful flowers. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and a friend to all who knew her. Mildred was a great and sweet lady that will be missed very much and thought of often.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Joyce Bass, of Fuquay-Varina; her son, David Bass, and fiancé, Jeanine Brown, of Apex, and Bud Bass of Wilson; her grandson, Les Bass, and wife, Beth, of Elm City; and Hettie, her beloved dog, who was her pride and joy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Lester Bass.
