Milton A. Bass
FORT WORTH - Milton A. Bass Sr., 85, a credit manager, died Friday, Jan. 30, 1998, at a local hospital.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at Chapel of the Chimes in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
Milton A. Bass Sr. was born July 30, 1912, in Corsicana.
He was a member of Disabled American Veterans and Bethel Baptist Church in Waxahachie.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Mamie Ruth Bass; father, Thomas L. Bass; mother, Viola Cray Bass; brothers, Raymond and Lutha Bass; and sister, Mildred Bass Hayes.
Survivors: Sons and daughters-in-law, Milton A. Jr. and Judy Bass of Burleson; the Rev. T.R. and Barbie Bass of Waxahachie and David and Sherry Bass of Fort Worth; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Milton A. and Mamie R. Bass of Fort Worth will observe their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 29 with a reception at Southwood Baptist Church from 2 to 4 p.m.
Hosts will be their children, Milton A. Bass Jr. of Garland, and T.R. Bass and David H. Bass, both of Fort Worth. They have six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The Abilene natives were married Nov. 27, 1937, in their hometown. She is the former Mamie R. Moody. They Basses have resided in Forst Worth 21 years. Milton Bass is retired from Thornton?s in Abilene as credit manager. Mamie Bass is retired from the state. They are members of Southwood Baptist Church, Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion.
