Muriel Isabell LaFayette was born Aug. 11, 1924, in McGee, Saskatchewan. She graduated from Bethel Bible School in Saskatchewan and did ministerial work in Canada before moving to Portland in 1968. She was a homemaker and licensed practical nurse, as well as a community agent for Portland Public Schools. In 1950, she married Douglas S. Bass. Survivors include her husband; daughter, Theresa A.; son, Lowell R.; brother, Daniel L. LaFayette; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. Remembrances to LifePoint Church in Vancouver.
