  Notes	Winston-Salem Journal, North Carolina, Sunday, May 12, 1918 Mooresville Man Died On Thursday Mr. M.E. Bass of That Town?s Prominent Men, Passed Away Mooresville, May 11.- Mr. M. E. Bass, a well known citizen of the town died Thursday at his home on Church street, after several weeks? illness. The deceased was 45 years of age and is survived by his wife, four children and four step-children, one brother, Mr. W.J. Bass, of Charlotte and two half sisters, Measames Mattie Overcash and Jennie Plyler, of the Amity community, also survived. Mr. Bass had been a member of the Baptist church for over 30 years, having joined Shady Grove church in early boyhood. He never removed his membership, but took an interested part in all the activities of the First Baptist church here. The funeral services were conducted from this church Friday evening by the pastor, Rev. C.B. Austin, and the interment was made in the city cemetery.
