William Bass Taken By Death
Father of Charlottean Dies in Mooresville ? Funeral Service Today
MOORESVILLE, Sept. 25.-William Jordan Bass, 82, died in the Lowrance hospital at 9 o?clock this morning after a servious illness of about ten days. Mr. Bass, a native of Iredell county, was a son of the late Jordan and Mrs. Mary Ann Clodfelter Bass. He had lived in Mooresville practically all of his life and was a carpenter. Mr. Bass was a member of the First Presbyeterian church, a Mason and Odd Fellow.
Surviving are the widow, the former Miss Cornelia Bass; a daughter, Mrs. Adell Bass Templeton of Charlotte; three grandchildren, Pfc. Victor S. Templeton of Charlotte, Cpl. Joe G. Templeton of Louisville, Ky., and G. Eugene Templeton, T.N., 3/c of Charlottte; and one great-grandchild, Estelle Templeton of Charlotte and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the First Presbyterian church Wednesday afternoon at 4 o?clock with Rev. Cliff Hill MeCleod in charge, assisted by Rev. Ralph S. Carson, pastor of the Second Presbyterian church. Burial will be in Willow Valley cemetery.
