Bass; two sons, Roger M. and Stephen B. Bass, both of Richmond; three daughters, Donna B. Gilman of Glen Allen, Lisa B. Barnette and Lydia R. Bass, both of Richmond; six grandchildren; two brothers, Luther C. of Wilmington, N.C. and Melton A. Bass of Loris, S.C. Mr. Bass was a member of Northminster Baptist Church, Fredericksburg Lodge No. 4 AF&AM, and a retired employe of the Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac Railroad. Remains rest at the Laburnum Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 2110 E. Laburnum Ave. where services will be held 2 P.M. Friday. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park with Masonic rites. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2500 Monument Ave.
