Steve Bass
LORIS ? Steve Bass, retired farmer of the Shell Section, died in a nursing home here Friday.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10:30 in the Hardwick Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Eugene Gardner officiating. Burial will be in the Bass Family Cemetery near Fairmont, N.C.
Mr. Bass was born in Robeson COUnty, May 16, 1899, a son of the late Steve and Sally Bass. He was a member of New Home Baptist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Pearl Phillips Bass; three brothers, Melton Bass of Loris, Luther Bass of Wilmington, N.C. and Marion Bass of Ashland, Va.; and a sister,Mrs. Fannie Simmons of Dillon.
