Obituary
Margaret Bass Freeman was born in the state of Mississippi, March 27, 1849, departed this life April 22, 1929 being at the time of her death 80 years and 26 days old.
She was married to Benjamin Freeman something like 60 years ago. To this union was born 9 children, 4 sons and 5 daughters. Her companion and 1 son and 4 daughters have preceded her to the great beyond.
She was converted 29 years ago and joined the Baptist church at Fairview. She lived a devoted Christian life and her life has been an example of how a true Christian should live and she has laid stepping stones for her children and grandchildren to lead them to Christ.
She leaves on daughter Mrs. Ida Wooldridge and 3 sons Ira, George and Frank, and 21 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn her loss.
By her departure we feel we have lost a dear friend and neighbor, and the children a loving mother and a devoted grandmother but our loss is heavens gain.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Bryant and the remains laid to rest at Fairview cemetery.
