He is survived by his son, Christopher Bass, Sr. of Winnabow, his grandson, Christopher Bass, Jr. of Winnabow, four brothers, Charlie Bass, Jimmy Bass, Ronnie Bass, Mike Bass, and sister Jean Bass, all of Lynchburg, Virginia. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 13, 2009, at Town Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Vic Potter officiating and epitaph by Anthony Jackson. The family will receive friends at the home from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Sunday, April 12, 2009. Cape Fear Crematory, Fayetteville, N.C.
