Ivan Paul Bass
Funeral services for Ivan Paul Bass, 61, of Pasadena, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2013, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana.
Burial will follow in Silver Creek Cemetery, Leesville, Louisiana, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., Thursday, January 3, 2013, at the funeral home.
Paul, the son of Ivan Bass and Francis Irene Marshall Bass, was born July 29, 1951, in Leesville, Louisiana. He passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013, in DeRidder, Louisiana. He lived most of his life in Pasadena, Texas. He was a graduate of DeRidder High School and McNeese State University.
He was currently employed by Herring Sales, Inc. of Houston, Texas, as a salesman.
He is survived by his sister, Doris Bass of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two nephews, Eddie Iglinsky of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and SPC Mike DeVries, currently stationed in Kuwait; one niece, Sarah DeVries of Federal Heights, Colorado; two great-nieces, Alyssa Rhoten of DeRidder, Louisiana, and Maci Iglinsky of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; one greatnephew, Aaron Broussard of Crowley, Louisiana; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
