Irene Bass
Funeral for Irene Bass, 73, of DeRidder, will be Thursday, Dec. 18 at 10 a.m. in Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder.
The Rev. Whit Holmes will officiate.
Burial will be in Silver Creek Cemetery in Leesville, under the direction of Labby.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 17 from 4-9 p.m. at the funeral home and Thursday, Dec. 18 from 8 a.m. until the time of service.
She died Monday, Dec. 15 in her residence. She was a native of Leesville, and was a nursery worker for First Baptist Church of DeRidder for 30 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of DeRidder. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Bass.
Survivors include her son, Paul Bass of Pasadena, Texas; daughters, Doris Bass and Beverly Bass, both of DeRidder; brother, Dalton Marshall of Teague, Texas; sisters, Faye Holdt of Houston, Texas, Lois Herring of Leesville, and Lorene "Tookie" Brady of Jasper, Texas; grandchildren, Eddie and wife Nanette Iglinsky, Michael DeVries, Sarah DeVries; and great grandchildren, Aaron Michael Murphy and Alyssa Rhoten.
