Deaths, Mrs. Isaac H. Bass Sr.
Mrs. Isaac Houston Bass Sr., 72, of Lumberton, director of Bass Mineral Management Corp. and treasurer of Bass Pecan Co., died early today in a Lumberton hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Lumberton. Interment will be in the Lumberton Cemetery.
Mrs. bass was before her marriage in 1912, Hoyt Fenn of McComb. She was a graduate of the Industrial Institute and College of Columbus, now Mississippi State College for Women.
She was a civic, church and social leader in Lumberton and South Mississippi. A member of the Federated Women?s Club and State Library Commission, she has served two terms as president of the Lumberton Woman?s Club.
She was a member of the board of trustees of William Carey College at Hattisburg, a member of graden clubs in Lumberton and Hattiesburg, and a member of the Orleans Club in New Orleans.
She is survived by her husband, I.H. Bass Sr., a son, Ray bass, three daughters, Mrs. M.J. Eubanks, Mrs. F.V. High and Mrs. Hoyt Bass Smith, all of Lumberton; two brothers, Vista Fenn and Vretna Fenn, both of McComb and 15 grandchildren.
