Mack Bass
Mack Bass, 65, of 3110 Floyd Ave., a boiler foreman for the Richmond, Fredericksburg and Potomac Railway for 47 years, died suddenly Friday. He was a native of Weldon, N.C., and a member of Grace Baptist Church and Union Lodge NO. 139, AF7AM. A funeral service will be held at 3:30 P.M. Sunday at Bennett?s Funeral Home, with burial in Riverview Cemetery. Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Davenport Bass; a daughter, Mrs. S.T. Nystrom, Jr., of Richmond; two sisters, Mrs. Sallie Burnham, of Richmnond, and Mrs. George Burnham, of Elizabeth City, N.C.; two brothers, George W. Bass, of Richnmond; James R. Bassett, of Baltimore, Md. and two grandchildren.
