Lee Bass
TAMPA, Fla. ? Services for Lee R. Bass, 67, formerly of Columbia, will be held 3 p.m. today in the chapel at Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with entombment in the mausoleum. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is in charge.
Mr. Bass died Monday, Nov. 4, 1996. Born in Rocky Mount, N.C., he was a son of Della Ellis Bass and the late Jerry Roam Bass. He was the former co-owner of A & W Root Beer Drive-Ins and Cedrick?s Fish and Chips. In Tampa, Fla, he was a developer and a builder. He was a past president of the Tampa House Builders Association.
Surviving are his mother of Columbia; sons, Lee Roy Bass Jr., of Panacea, Fla., Troy M. Bass and Kenneth Bass of Tampa, Fla.; daughters, Angela Faye Hughy of Jasper, Gas., and Patsy Maners of Newbern, N.C.; stepson, Stephen Bailey of Brooksville, Fla.; brothers, Edward R. Bass of Columbia, Ray C. Bass of Lutz, Fla., Marvin I. Bass of Laurens, and Eugene Bass of Salt Lake City, Utah; sister, Peggy Young of Columbia; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
