Viola Aliff Bass
BASS, Viola Aliff, 79, of Roanoke, died Saturday, November 21, 1992. She was predeceased by her husbands, Fred R. Snead and Marshall T. Bass. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Frank L. and Nancy Snead of Roanoke; several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Allen J. Aliff of Roanoke, and Norton E. Aliff of Smith Mountain Lake; three sisters, Irene Ames, Page Martin and Ruby Dame, all of Roanoke; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 24, with the Rev. Roy S. Whitescarver officiating. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
