Lizzie Bass Patterson
March 18, 1933 ? October 31, 2020
Lizzie Bass Stubbs Patterson, age 87 of Laurinburg passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020.
Lizzie was born March 18, 1933 in Scotland County, daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Locklear Bass. She was the wife, first to the late William Stubbs and second, wife to the late Herman Patterson. Lizzie was a faithful member of China Grove Church of God, and was known for her love of ministering to others through visits in the hospital and nursing homes. She also enjoyed volunteering with the Food Bank. Her greatest joy was spending time with family, and will always be remembered as a loving sister, aunt, and friend.
Along with her parents and husbands, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Ander Allen Bass, John Bass; sisters, Lucille Barfield, Betty Hendrix, and Dorothy Thompson.
She is survived by her brother, Cleophus Bass; sisters, Mary Blackwell, Rosa Lee Blackwell, Joann Bullard, Mary Jacobs, Katie Newsome, Peggy Bass, all of Laurinburg, and a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.
A Graveside service will be at Noon on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 in West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove, NC.
