She was married to David Daughtery in January of 1851, and in the spring of 1853 crossed the plains to California, remaining two years; thence by steamer and the isthmus of Panama returned to Illinois. To this union were born two children - one, Mrs. Mary Kirby, of Carman, still surviving.

She was converted in the fall of 1865, baptized and taken into the Baptist church. Mrs. Crane departed this life June 14th, 1903 at the age of 68 years, 10 months and 4 days.
The funeral services occurred at the old home, now occupied by Harry G. Crane, Tuesday, June 16, 1906, at two o’clock, conducted by Reverend J.B. King, after which the remains were laid in their final resting place buside her husband in the Crane cemetery. The Congregational choir of this city: Will Bliss, Miss Olga Feldhausen, Mrs. Ollie and Mrs. W.D. Shain were present and sang for the occasion.
The acting pall bearers were C.B. Vaughn, Martin Kirby, Wright Smiddy, William Crownover, Andre Kirby, and William Wyatt. An honorary set of pall bearers, consisting of school mates and old time-honored friends of the deceased were also in attendance. They were Matthew Vaughn, Robert Pence, Abraham Babcook, Edward Lowry, Louis Porter and Charles Vaughn.
An immense crowd was in attendance at the funeral, many coming from a distance to do honor to a woman whose life has been spent in doing good and who was loved, honored and respected by all.
