Emma S. Bass
Fayetteville ?Emma Stella Daye Bass 88 of Fayetteville passed away peacefully on Thursday evening March 18, 2021 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Emma was born December 23, 1932 in Durham NC to the late Maggie Daye Evans and Harvey Tilley. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Willard W. Bass, Sr. Emma received her High School Diploma from Fayetteville Technical College. She was a highly skilled seamstress and received specialized training in New York City. Emma worked as a seamstress with several companies. She joined Second Missionary Baptist Church and remained an upstanding member until her death. Emma was a proud member of the usher board for over 50 years and was honored for being the oldest member of the usher board in 2019. Emma Stella Daye Bass is survived by: her six children Rhonda Reed (Derryl), Lavonnia Bass, Willard Bass, Jr (Diane), Darrell Bass (Vielka), Tameria Lipscomb (Connie), Valoria Burch (Timothy); three sisters Pella-Mae Bass, Pearl Amis, and Julia Harley; two brother-in-laws, Alex Bass, Donnie Bass, two sister-in-laws, Subina Bass, Lenora Bass, twelve grandchildren, seventeen Great Grandchildren and two Great Great Grandchildren; a host of extended family and friends. Services entrusted to Wiseman Mortuary 431 Cumberland Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301. Family visitation Friday March 26, 2021 from 1-5 p.m., Funeral services (Family only) Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 10:00 at a.m. Second Missionary Baptist Church.
