      Thomas H. Bass, 50 Dies In Indianapolis
      Funeral For Former Franklin Resident at Vandivier Parlors, Wednesday

      Thomas H. Bass, age 50, a former resident of Franklin and a well known barber, died at the City hospital in Indianapolis, Monday morning, at 11:45 o?clock, following a heart attack. Mr. Bass had been ill but s short time and was taken to the hospital at about 2 o?clock Monday morning.
      Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at two-thirty o?clock from the C.C. Vandivier funeral parlors in Franklin. The Rev. Anthony Meengs, pastor of the Presbyterian church, will be in charge of the rites. The burial will be made in Greenlawn cemetery.
      Mr. Bass was born June 12, 1883, the son of Addison and Mary Bass, in Johnson county near Morgantown. He lived in Johnson county all of his life until about seventeen years ago, when he moved to Indianapolis. He had been a barber for about twenty-eight years and worked in Franklin for several years. His likeable disposition gained him many friends and the relatives invite his former acquaintances to attend the funeral services or call at the Vandivier funeral home at any time after 10 o?clock Wednesday morning.
      He is survived by the parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.R. Bass, of east of Franklin; the widow, Mrs. Ida Bass, of Indianapolis; a son, Oren Bass, of Marysville, Cal.; two step-children, Geroge Swift and Mrs. Earl Wilson of Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. John Holman, of Southport, and Mrs. Stella Green of Bay Point, Cal., and a brother, Leason Bass, of Franklin.
      While in Franklin, Mr. Bass was a member of the Tabernacle Christian church. He belonged to the Knights of Pythias lodge of Fairland.
