  Notes	Find-A-Grave Obituary Rena Gipe Bass Rena Bass, 89, of Hasting died at a nursing home there Tuesday. She was the daughter of one of the pioneer families of Mills County. Her late father Adam Gipe, homesteaded in that community in 1869 and she resided on part of that homestead south of Hastings until she entered the nursing home a few years ago. Survivors include a son, Earl G. of Malvern; two daughters, Mrs. Lyle Coddington of Hasting and Mrs. Iolene Roberts of Mount Ayre; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Morris Woodfill of Glenwood. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church at Strahan with interment at the Malvern Cemetery. Mansfield-Hertz Funeral Home at Malvern is in charge.
