A native of Giles County, he was the son of Mrs. Rosa Mae Paysinger Bass of Pulaski and the late Mr. Edgar Reed Bass. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Ann Bass, Columbia; a daughter, Paulette Prince, Pulaski; two sons, Robert Wayne and Kenneth Owen Bass, Pulaski; a sister, Martha Scales, Ft. Wayne, Indiana; a brother, Harold Bass, Pulaski; and five grandchildren.
